Spud Shack

I ordered the Scandinavian/Norwegian verison...you know, that place in Europe where they love to "drown" their pommes frites (french fries) in Mayonaise!

In fact, it isn't mayo like most American think it is. Its a form of mayo called pommes frites sauce and it has a slightly increased amount of vinegar (aka relative of the Brithish salt n' vinegar topping/flavour) and some herbs are in the sauce. The Spud Shack unfortunately does not obtain and use the pommes frites sauce and merely uses traditional American mayo. Bland!

So, having overcome the use of regular mayo, my fries were not drowned in mayo as they should have been (a tradition). I asked for more mayo and would you believe it? They wanted to charge me .25 cents for a mini tub of mayo, and I woulda needed about 3 tubs to "drown" my fries properly. Its not the cost by no means, its the priniciple...Mickey D's, BK, KFC, etc. do not charges for sachets of mayo...get the point?

I have been to Norway 4 times, lived in germany, and been to Luxembourg, Holland, and Belgium. All the palces where they "drown" their fries in pommes frites sauce! I have had my fair share, and then some, of the real deal.

So...good fries but the Scandinavian/Norwegian verisons are fake and they are kinda stingy with their mayo.
