Black Hoof

What can I say I entered Black Hoof with high expectations from what I've heard from fellow chefs, I was not disapointed. The interior was nice, I love the way they had the menu on a chalkboard and the place had a nice relaxing feel to it. I fealt like a giddy japanese school girl after three long island iced teas as I was reading the menu wondering what to get.

I decided to get the foies and blood sausage, charcuterie and a glass of pinot noir. I received my charcuterie first, all i could remember was the goose liver patte, duck prosciutto, and bluberry bison salami, there was more assortments of meat I forgot what they where but all was good. This was accompanied by some of the best bread i have eaten, it had the nicest crisp crust which alot of restaurant overlook when I've had their bread baskets. I ended up scrapeing whatever meat and patte sediments where left on the dish with my bread, to waste a spec of anything that was served would be a sin.

Next was the foies and blood sausage, which had a brioche,pureed rutabaga and a maple syrup. Thr flavors all workd in perfect harmony and I loved the delicate textures that would melt away in your mouth. I left the place with a feeling of elation, kinda like your first lay. I will be comming back many times until I have eaten everything on the menu, raw hoarse sandwich and tounge on brioch might be next.

The food is MIND-BLOWING! It is obviously made with passion and mastery. Everything on the menu is deliciously crafted with an exciting twist. The Hoof is one of the most amazing restaurants i was lucky enough to discover! A meat lover's paradise! You have not experienced meat at its full potential if you have not tried the Hoof!
